San Daniele’s delicious cured ham is ready to tempt your palate and from the mountains and pastures of Carnia come tasty cheeses. Friuli is first of all a region of great wines, especially those from the Oriental hills, Colli Orientali, and from the Collio. In this region we also visit fascinating cities, such as Trieste with the bora, its furious strong wind, and the animated cafes that overlook the Adriatic Sea, or Gorizia shared with Slovenia. There are grand suburbs and sights such as Cividale, with its Tempietto Longobardo, the longobard chapel, the enclosed Palmanova, , the splendid basilica of Aquileia and the castle of Spilimbergo.
